Hey, Alumni!
Help welcome the newest members of the Cal Family! SD CAL Alumni will be co-hosting 4 virtual Summer Welcome Parties for incoming Cal Students.

This event is our way of welcoming newly enrolled Freshman and Transfer Students to Cal before they embark on their college journey at best public university in the world. It is our opportunity to serve the university by sharing our experiences of Berkeley and to offer our advice to new students. Additionally, it is a way of supporting the Cal family in southern California and is a way for alums to reconnect with the University experience we are all so proud of.So log on, share your Cal stories, teach the students some great Cal traditions and bond with them and SoCal alumni over attending the best public university in the world!

Please note that this event will take place online via Zoom. A link to this Zoom event will be sent to your email one week and one day before the event.

This event is presented by the following chapters of the Cal Alumni Association:

San Diego Crew Classic 2020 has been cancelled

The San Diego Crew Classic is a 2-day rowing event that marks the start of the competitive rowing season. Come support our CAL Champs from the beautiful shores of Mission Bay, San Diego. The Crew Classic offers an array of activities in addition to world-class racing. Our local SD CAL Alumni Chapter will be represented in Alumni Row on Sunday. Stop by to visit with local CAL Alumni. Beyond Design Thinking

Berkeley Haas Professor Sara Beckman, a pioneer in the field, will be speaking about “Beyond Design Thinking” on February 7th at 6 PM at University Town Center (9540 Towne Centre Drive, Suite 175 San Diego, CA 92121). The cost is $20 (not including Eventbrite fee) and includes food and drinks. Meet & Greet Happy Hour – location update!

Ring in the New Year at Cal’s first meet and greet/happy hour at the Bernardo Heights Country Club (16066 Bernardo Heights Pkwy, 92128) on Friday, Feb. 8th from 6 to 9 pm. We have had many requests for an event up in North County and thanks to Liliana Miranda, Cal class of ’95 and ’98 JD, we have an awesome one. No host bar, appies, and no need to RSVP.
